Enrichment Activities

At Nurture and Nature Children's Center, we enrich learning with special guests and presentations. Wildlife Encounters introduce rare animals, sparking curiosity. Each month, Shawn Middleton’s interactive stories and Steve Blunt’s lively music inspire singing and dancing. Local heroes like police and firefighters share memorable stories. Outdoor play fuels growth rain or shine. Toddlers build confidence tackling new challenges, while preschoolers develop motor skills on swings and obstacle courses. Our caring teachers guide exploration, nurturing resilience and a lifelong love of learning—starting with a brave step outdoors.

Wildlife Encounters

Students learn about and interact with a variety of animals they would normally not see in New Hampshire.

Steve Blunt

“For over 20 years I’ve been teaching and performing for kids & families, with this simple message: Music is fun—and it’s something everyone can do! I believe that music helps grow happy, healthy kids and stronger communities. At schools & libraries, on recordings and in concert, I share fun, upbeat songs that tickle the funny bone, warm the heart, and delight the imagination—with lots of audience participation.”

Monthly Storytellers and Musicians

Touring New England, Award-Winning Storyteller, and Author, Shawn Middleton mesmerizes his audiences! With his unique style of storytelling, he brings stories to life with finger puppets, sound effects, voice dramatization, pauses, rhythm, sign language, mime and hip-hop dance.  Children, parents, teachers, librarians, and community members will be educated, entertained and engaged. Audiences don’t just listen.  They sing, clap, dance, chant, and roar with laughter.

Occasional Activities

In addition to the regularly scheduled experiences, our community has also provided us with unique opportunities including: trick or treating and holiday caroling, visits from local Police and Firefighters (vehicles included!) and more!
